STORY

Take a look at the story: What does Number One tell about herself? 
What do you see? What do you notice? How does the house look like? The garden (circle)? Ah, there is only one flower in it!

CUT OUT (BIG VERSION)

Oh, we can turn the story into play! Let’s build the home for Number on! 

Therefore, use page 2 to provide a physical home for Number One: Cut out the number, the house, the circular garden, the flowerbed, the flower.

Use as is, or laminate, or glue the number and the house on a box or sth. for a 3D effect. 

Well now…   How do we want to arrange it? We can plant 1 flower into the garden – anywhere!

Only if we want to plant it into the flowerbed (five frame), we need to begin in the left corner (or right corner, if you read from right to left in your language) – because proper gardening requires rules! 

Number One may ask us to decorate the home further: What can we find around us to decorate? We can take anything – as long as it is always only 1. Because 1 is 1, now matter what.

Hopefully, we are pleased with what we see …

Do we want to colour/decorate the colouring sheet for Number One? 

If appropriate, we could cut out the small Number One as well and make a collage out of it?

Is your child already old enough so that writing the numeral matters? They may as well just colour the upper picture. If at all, because all this is optional!  🙂
